Creek ‘n Woods III Our Vacation Rental Cabins' Reviews Here’s what David wrote David Tom and Sue are wonderful hosts and the cabin is great. Tom met us at a gas station a few minutes from the cabin when we arrived and led us to the cabin, and gave a personal tour; he was always available to answer questions both prior to and during our stay. And we had a delicious batch of chocolate chip cookies waiting for us on arrival, thanks to Sue. The cabin accommodated our family of four very well. The kitchen is well-appointed for cooking, though there are also some great restaurants in the area. (We especially enjoyed takeout from Sweet Onion in Waynesville.) The deck is a great spot to relax or eat and of course the hot tub is a very nice touch. The location is very convenient for getting to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, while still being reasonably close to Asheville. We also enjoyed just walking down to the creek (just under a mile away–though down a big hill) and getting our feet wet. My daughters also really enjoyed the waterfall and finding a frog! Overall, a great stay and I’d highly recommend Tom and Sue’s place. David’s private feedback for you: “Thanks again for a great stay (and the cookies and the wine)! One suggestion might be to have a binder with some key information (like where spare items are) so guests don’t have to call and ask when we forget what you told us on the tour. 🙂 But as long as you don’t mind us asking, then it’s not a big deal.
