Creek ‘n Woods IV

“This spacious and well appointed cabin easily and comfortably supported our party of ten people–7 adults and 3 children. Multiple common areas and porches with great views let everyone have the space they needed. And the dinner table was large enough for us to enjoy the common meals together. (No “kids table.”) Easy access to both the Blue Ridge Parkway and Great Smoky Mountains and all of the hiking and scenery they include. All three generations of our family had a great time there!”

Suzette’s private feedback for you:
“Our experience at the cabin was outstanding. You are extremely supportive and helpful hosts and made us all feel very welcomed. Great cookies!”

A Wooded Retreat
★ ★ ★ ★ ★

We enjoyed our stay at Creek in the Woods III. It was in a heavily wooded mountain area, which we loved! You could only see 1 neighbor from this location and it was behind the cabin – so you could only see them when you were at your vehicle. It was a very quiet location other than hearing some street noise from down below. It doesn’t have any mountain views from the trees but we liked it that way! It is on a windy road going up hill but the entrance to their location is very easy to get into and has plenty of room to turn around and even for several vehicles to park. One of the best layouts for parking/driveway I saw in the neighborhood!

The wrap around porch was wonderful with plenty of seating options for relaxing and eating outdoors. The waterfall feature was very relaxing as well as the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and the owners are very generous with their paper goods, spices, coffee, detergent, etc. The only thing I needed that I couldn’t find was a large cutting board – but that wasn’t a big deal. There were plenty of towels for bathrooms and well as the hot tub. The house was clean and inviting.

The owners met us in town and we followed them to the house so they could show us things we needed to know. The check out procedures were clearly defined and easy to follow. The owners checked on us during our stay to make sure everything was going good and even told us about an event we might be interested in with our family. They had fresh baked cookies and flowers for us when we arrived.

This location is close to Maggie Valley, Waynesville, & Lake Junaluska. We were there for an event at Lake Junaluska and it took us 10 minutes to get there. It is right next to the Maggie Valley Country Club & Golf Course (you can’t see it from the house though). I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the area. We had a family of 6 (2 adults & 4 kids – ages 3-16) and we all loved it. We had family come visit us while we were there and they all complimented the house.

We enjoyed the following activities & restaurants during our stay: Willie Brooks BBQ (very good!), The Blue Rooster (very good!), Maggie’s Galley Seafood Restaurant (very good!), Chick-Fil-A (always good!). White water rafting with NOC, Mast General Store, The Strand on 38 Main, Blueridge Parkway, and other outdoor areas.

Amazing and exactly what we were looking for.

Left on Aug 7, 2018 for a stay in Jul 2018

The service I received was like none other. Tom will go above and beyond from the moment you book till the moment you leave for home. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to experience the mountains and all it has to offer such as white water rafting, horse back riding, gem mining… etc. Gatlinburg TN is only an hour or so away and was definitely worth visiting. All in all our experience here made it the best vacation we’ve done yet. The property itself sits with an amazing view of the Smokey mountains. You are literally in the clouds. It’s spacious enough for even the biggests of groups. Also Tom’s cookies are absolutely delicious! They welcome you with freshly baked cookies and show you exactly how to get to the cabin and then give a tour of the property. He also gives you lists of everything in the area and makes sure your vacation will not pass you by without doing anything.

Review #23114808 “GREAT REVIEWS- HOT TUB – CREEK – GREAT REVIEWS !!! – Creek ‘n Woods II”

We loved this place SO MUCH! The property was exactly as described. Perfectly clean. We loved having the sound of the creek out back. We loved early mornings out on the porch. We loved evenings in the hot tub after long days out. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. We grocery shopped at the beginning of the week at the Super Walmart in Waynesville (about 15 minutes away) and then used the local Dollar General for any minor shopping that we needed after that. This was an excellent base camp for us, and our days were mostly spent out (Biltmore, Asheville, whitewater rafting, etc . . . )

Upon arrival, we were surprised to find that this place was in a subdivision! But, once we were there, it definitely didn’t feel like it. It felt very secluded. We never saw a single person nearby. But you still had the benefit of being 2 minutes from town. It was a perfect fit for us! Each morning, once one woke up and started moving around, the girls who were sleeping up there woke up too. But that really wasn’t a big deal. But, it’s something to think about if you are with a party that doesn’t sleep the same hours.

Tom was great! He met us in town and escorted us to the house. They had freshly baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us. Also, a birthday cake for our daughter’s 17th birthday. He even let us ship a birthday package to him so that we could get it in time for her birthday. If we had any questions (which were very rare) he was only a text or a phone call away! Definitely the best customer service that we have ever had at any rental. Clearly Tom & Sue take great pride in their work and have a heart for hospitality!
