The perfect cabin!

We wanted to take the kids on their first ski trip and decided on Maggie Valley given its close proximity to Atlanta. This cabin was perfect for our group – my family of 5 and our friend’s family of 4. Tom, the owner, met us nearby and took us to the cabin and answered any questions we had. The cabin was clean and had plenty of space for sleeping, seating, and eating. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed – we cooked dinner each night at the cabin. And, the cookies and biscotti were a bonus! Not to mention, Tom going out of his way to pick up a cake for us as we were celebrating a birthday this weekend – thank you so much, Tom! The kids absolutely loved the hot tub outside and the creek on the property – they enjoyed being at the cabin just as much as playing in the snow, skiing, and sightseeing! The cabin is stocked with plenty of movies, games, and books. The adults sat outside on the porch one evening listening to the creek and enjoying the company while the kids were relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin was more than we had expected. I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again!

Outstanding experience!

I am a geology professor in Orlando, Florida. This March was the second time I took a group of students to the cabin for a Great Smoky Mountains spring-break field trip. The students and I had an outstanding experience both times. Tom and Sue are exceptionally nice people. Tom is funny and warm. We had two snow storms this year, and Tom texted me several times to make sure we were okay.

The cabin itself is huge, comfortable, and well equipped. It had plenty of room for our large group. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. The view from the balcony is awesome! The location also puts it in close drives to the national park, Waynesville for groceries, and Asheville for shopping.

I highly recommend Creek N Woods Cabin IV, especially if you have a large group. We will be staying there on our next field trip to the area.
