Creek ‘n Woods II – Our 12th or 13th trip !!!

Creek ‘n Woods II, our numerous trips (is it 12 or 13?) have all been quite pleasant. It is peaceful in the cabin as well as outside on any of the decks. We love listening to the rushing mountain stream just a few yards from the large picnic table on the spacious shaded porch (PERFECT spot for board games or poker or grab a rocking chair and take a nap !)

The cabin  interior as well as the exterior, is immaculately clean.

As the four of us ( 4 friends from Georgia) love cooking together, the open floor plan of the kitchen is easy to work in. The cabinets are well stocked with everything we need to prepare anything from hors d’oeuvres to soup, salad and sandwiches to a gourmet meal.

The bedrooms are cozy and spotless; beds comfortable with plenty of extra blankets for those crisp mountain nights.

The bathrooms have plenty of towels as well as extras for the hot tub.The washer and dryer units are an added benefit.

Love the fireplace and atmosphere of the great room.

The cabin’s amenities lack nothing, but the REAL pleasure of a visit to Creek ‘n Woods lies in the warmth and graciously welcoming attitudes of Tom & Sue.

From our first visit as total strangers we were made to feel like old friends…family, even. Their hospitality is second to none. (Don’t EVEN get me started on their delicious home baked chocolate chip cookies and hand written note of welcome. Could one ask for a better “Hi ! We are glad you are here again”.)

Simply read the cabin’s guest book for more first hand accounts, but I tell you this…pack a lunch ! You won’t be able to read all the notes from satisfied guest in one sitting.

Tom and Sue are charming hosts, relaxed and fun “inn keepers” who make sure everyone has a wonderful visit. They are the secret and the heart of Creek ‘n Woods’ repeat successes.

Fun for family of three generations !

My husband and I and our three children and their families (four grandchildren) had a grand time. We looked for a place to comfortably house eleven and we were fortunate to find Creek ‘n Woods IV. Three levels of comfortable spacious living allowed all ages to find their own niche and when we all were together on thee main level, there was still plenty of space. The Knapkos’ told us to let them know of any single thing that was needed, and we found none. We even entertained 6 more family members one day and still had plenty of room and everything we needed in the kitchen, etc. Ages 5 to 68, and we all had a good time.

A Wonderful Week of Rest and Relaxation by the Creek

A charming cabin at the top of the hill awaited us, surrounded by abundant trees and quietness. Upon entering the cabin, we found a note from the Tom & Sue, welcoming us, along with a cookie jar full of freshly backed chocolate chip cookies. On the kitchen counter was a jar of biscotti as well as Starbucks coffee in the freezer as a welcome gift. The cabin was very clean, well appointed and decorated beautifully! We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck overlooking a marvelous creek. The gas grill and picnic table allowed us to experience the outdoors even more. The location is about 5 minutes from the town of Maggie Valley and close to delightful Waynesville. Asheville and Hendersonville is only a short drive away. This is the place to come for a relaxing vacation !

Cabin IV gave us million dollar memories !

Our vacation to Creek ‘n Woods IV was outstanding from the very moment we arrived until the minute we left. Not only were there warm cookies prepared just for us but also a hand written note on the kitchen island welcoming us “home.” Because our family arrived late in the evening to North Carolina there was even frozen pizza should we need it. The cabin was amazingly clean and beautifully decorated on the inside and out. There was plenty of room for our family of four and two grandparents to share family togetherness as well as to have private time. Mr. Knapko quickly attended to a broken refrigerator on our first full day. When it couldn’t be repaired he had another brought in that very day. Mr. Knapko was also helpful to offer and help us plan some fun events that our family enjoyed. We were so sad to leave Creek ‘n Woods. We would love to live there.
